Investors & Entrepreneurs

This practice includes investment and trade-based visa petitions, petitions for individuals with extraordinary ability in business, or starting a U.S. office for an existing international business.. Lauren Jo Law is conscious of the particular needs of entrepreneurs and has the expertise and professional network to advise on all aspects of starting a business in the United States with a focus on immigration strategy and planning.

Immigration Compliance

The labyrinth of continuing immigration and labor regulations in connection with your company’s compliance with immigration laws is complex and ever-changing. Violators of these compliance laws may face steep fines or criminal penalties. Lauren Jo Law can assist with ensuring your business complies with:

  • Labor Condition Application regulations for H-1B, H-1B1, or E-3 employees

  • PERM green card audit files for Department of Labor compliance

  • Self-employment immigration regulations

Citizenship

The last step in the U.S. immigration process is becoming a U.S. citizen, in a process called Naturalization. Lauren Jo Law can help determine if and when you qualify for Naturalization and the rights and responsibilities of becoming a U.S. citizen. The process includes a petition to USCIS, an in-person interview at USCIS with English and U.S. Civics tests, and an oath ceremony swearing you in as a U.S. Citizen.

Representative Industries

Technology

A decade of experience working with technology clients obtaining visas and green cards gives you comfort in knowing your company is in good hands. Companies in every industry rely on technology to keep their businesses running. I have experience with the government adjudication trends on petitions in the technology sector, such as H-1B specialty occupation, L-1B specialized knowledge, PERM green card applications, and more.

Success and the profitability of your business may depend on the talent you are able to secure.
