Starting Nov. 30, Israeli Citizens Eligible for Visa Waiver Program

Starting November 30, 2023, Israeli nationals will be eligible for Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) and will no longer need tourist or business visitor visas to the U.S. for travel up to 90 days at a time, if they are eligible.

General Eligibility for ESTA:

  • Be a citizen of one of the designated ESTA countries

  • Apply through the ESTA online application

  • Pay ESTA application fee of $4 and if approved, and additional $17 authorization fee

  • Travel purpose must be permitted on a B visa

  • Have a passport valid for at least 6 months after your planned departure from the US

  • Not have traveled to certain countries including North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, or Yemen after March 1, 2011, and Cuba after January 12, 2021. Nationals of VWP countries who are also nationals of the above countries are also prohibited from using ESTA.
